Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun was one of the series I was looking forward from the summer season 2017. The way they presented it, the show really reminded me of an other series I really enjoyed Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto. However, if I would take a second season with Sakamoto, one of Aoyama is enough. It’s a good thing the series only has twelves episode, not sure I would have been entertained enough to watch more.

It’s not a bad series, but it’s not memorable either, yes I did laugh watching some episode, but I can count them on one hand. I found myself mostly enjoying Aoyama surrounding more than Aoyoma myself. Toward the end of the series I grew bored, there wasn’t anything new. All the situations in which Aoyama was, were fairly the same and his goal was either cleaning or make sure to not get dirty. The only moment when he allowed himself to get dirty is when his team was about to lose cause, he hate losing more than getting dirty.

If the story in itself is not one of the best written, the show still look great. I really like the character design and the key moment animation, unlike an other sport series of Summer 2017 where the story was interesting but the studio fail to give it a great visual (minus the water reflection, the reflection was looking awesome), here it’s the opposite, the story fail to keep me entertained but the visual was great, not as great as this other Summer series, but still really pleasant for the eyes.

I will not say I was disappointed by Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun, but I will not recommend it either, unless someone is looking for something similar as Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto. It as it’s cliché and cringed moment, but was still enjoyable, however as I said, twelves episode was just enough, if the series would have continue I would probably had drop it.
