Monday in Music – Make a Shutter Chance Out of a Smile by Kise Ryota

Series: Kuroko no Basuke
Artist: Kise Ryota (C.V: Kimura Ryouhei)
Type: Character Song

Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a really nice week-end!

This is the last Monday of April and I decide to present you a song performed by a character with a bubbly personality. “Make a Shutter Chance Out of a Smile” (Shutter Chance Wa Smile Yori) is one of Kise Ryouta character song and can be found on Kise mini-album – Never Copy Myself – (SOLO MINI ALBUM Vol.2)

I really love the song, it’s fun and make me smile, but above all I like how the verse and the chorus a really different and how the pre-chorus led the chorus. I can’t help but imagine Kise recording that song.
The instrumental break really give me an anime oldie vibe with the synth.

To understand the lyric you need to know what the expression “Shutter Chance” mean.
It mean to take the opportunity to do something ( at least it’s what I get from there)

This fit Kise since he was bored with pretty much every sport he try until he get into basketball.

Make a shutter chance out of a smile while on top of the courts (Don’t miss it)
I recommend seeing me when I’m a little serious
Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go today too, warmer, warmer, and even warmer
I want to get a taste of the best that I can become

Lyric Translation: ichigohaatsu

~ Thank you for passing by ~

See You Next Monday
