Mel is Watching | Spring 2018 Week 6

Hi Everyone!

Welcome Back to this fourth edition of Mel is Watching (don’t worry I still know how to count).

After 6 week (week 6, fourth edition…are you sure you know how to count Mel?) the Watch List have its first drop, to know which one look at the list below

The List

  • Black Clover
  • Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc
  • Darling in the Franxx
  • My Hero Academia, Season 3
  • Persona 5: The Animation
  • Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
  • Tokyo Ghoul: Re

Black Clover
Episode 31 – Pursuit Over the Snow

The level of visual inconsistency this show giving us week after week continue to amaze me. You have some scene that make you say “wow that was good” but right after you are wondering what happen to their face.

I was really expecting the closure of that new case this week, but I guess we will have to wait next week to see it, hopefully Gauche will open his eyes and realized that if he really care about Marie, he will have to save the other child too.

Asta was a real champ here even if it was to be expected, he is the underdog protagonist after all.

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc
Episode 18 – Sakura and the Fire and Water Birds

This could have been one of the most exciting battle if it has been just a little bit longer, it would have been cool if the two card had a more intense battle, but since “Aqua” wasn’t the primary card for this episode it can have too much of the spotlight.
With only 4 episode left I wonder how it will be, I hope they don’t rush the closure, unless they plan for an other season, cause there is a lot of thing that still need to be explained.

Darling in the Fraxx
Episode 17 – Eden

Now the only thing that matter to me is to see Mitsuru and Kokoro happy…of course I’m a little bit curious about all that mess will end, but I’m more curious about the other reaction to the fact Mitsuru and Kokoro most probably slept together.

My Hero Academia, Season 3
Episode 6 (44) – Roaring Upheaval

Tokoyami’s quirk is clearly one of the strongest, if only he could have a perfect control over it to use it at its best it would be awesome, cause other than light it doesn’t have a lot of weakness. So far they are following pretty closing the manga, which I really like. But even if I know what is coming, it hurt me to see the kids in bad shape and seeing the scene i read animated is really nice. Confused Bakugo is the funniest…

Really looking forward next week episode now that Todoroki will meet Dabi mostly cause of the theory going around. I really want to hear him say “Shouto”…I really want that.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
Episode 5.5 Refrain

Let’s just pretend this episode never existed…

Tokyo Ghoul: re
Episode 6 , turn: In the End

First I have to say that I’m relieved to know there will be a second season, even if I haven’t read the manga (yet) I know there is a lot of shit coming and I was scared they try to condense everything into one season. Now maybe we will see a very controversial wedding in the next season.

That being said, I was kind of disappointed by how they put this episode together, I know this is pretty much all happening in the same times and they probably want to and the season not in a middle of an arc, but still i would have rather see them give us each fight in different episode, at least put the complete Takizawa vs Sasaki/Kaneki into one episode. It would have been a heavy episode, but this way they would have be able to give us more time to understand Saiko ability.

Concerning Saiko, I feeling like she is Hinami counterpart, Sasaki seem to care about her as much as Kaneki cared about Hinami.

********************

As you could see, Persona5: The Animation was dropped, not cause it’s a bad series, there is a lot of good point about the series, like the music and the character design, plus the story is interesting. It’s just the way they decide to adapt the fight against the Boss. I haven’t play the game, but just from the way it was made in the anime I can say how it is. I would have rather see actual fighting scene in the anime instead of scene that look like it’s coming straight from the game.

Hopefully it’s the only one I will drop this season.

~ Thank you for Reading ~
