[K-Friday] The Rebirth of a Fighter

James Lee, pretty sure a lot of you doesn’t know who he is, unless you following K-music news website. He is a Korean-American and use to be part of the band Royal Pirate. He first played bass but following some circumstance that I will talk about later, he played the keyboard until he have to leave the group.

If I decide to talk about him today it’s because the guy is a symbol of perseverance, let me tell you why.

In 2015 James got an accident while going out of a restaurant, the result was a severely injured wrist, it was so bad that he could have been amputated, but the guy is a fighter
After month of fighting infection and rehabilitation, he try to come back with his former band as keyboardist since, due to his hand injury he couldn’t play bass anymore. However it didn’t work and he have to quite.
But instead of quitting music and the industry, he decide to work more, which led to a kickstarter to raise money in order to released his solo music. This project gave him the strength to continue to work on his rehab.

I have to admit I didn’t follow closely the whole process, but I always wished the best for the guy, so when the first single of his First Solo EP was released I was really happy.

“The Light”

This is really different from what he his to do with Royal Pirate, however, while I enjoyed the band music, I really happy to see James breaching out from it.

The Light” will not be the only single to be released, the days before this post will go up, the single “Let Get Away” featuring Sooyoung, former Girls Generation member, will be released, I can’t wait to listen to it.

I really wish the best for James, hope he will get the success he deserve after everything he went through.

You can follow James journey on his Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. You can also visit his official website for more news.
