This is a story about you. A tale about the inside of your body… According to a new study, the human body consists of approximately 37 trillion cells. These cells are hard at work every day within a world that is your body. From the oxygen-carrying red blood cells to the bacteria-fighting white blood cells, get to know the unsung heroes and the drama that unfolds inside of you! It’s the oddly relatable and interesting story that is the life of cells!
I love to learn new thing, I love it even more when I learn stuff by doing something I like. When I saw an anime about the human body, I was quite excited, the synopsis reminded me an animated series I used to watch when I was younger (this was a long time ago) called “Once Upon a Time…Life”, so I was really curious about that new anime.
After watching the first episode, I knew I would love that show, not only I was learning new stuff, but there was cute guy in it, never though I would have say that one day, but some white cell blood can be really sexy, even more when the are covered by blood.
During the course of the thirteen episode, see we our body work, what happen when we have allergy or when we get a cut, I have to say that I felt bad more than once for not being careful when I was working. We get to see what happen when cell transform into cancer cell and we even meet the cute little platelets.
Winter 2018 had the cute little Mii-kun and Summer 2018 have the adorable platelets.
The series being about how the human body work and react, all the different arc are construct around that idea, so it does become repetitive but it’s also different in the same time. Since each cell play a different role, even if the body keep being attacked by virus and bacteria, it’s not always the main White Cell who does all the job.
If you like learning and you like silly anime, Cell at Work is for you, I was always looking forward the next episode soon as the previous one was over.
